Joe Walsh brought far more than a new face when he joined the Eagles in 1975. He injected a rock-guitar edge, distinctive vocal character, and a powerful songwriting legacy that transformed the band’s live sound. Several of his solo works later became staples in the Eagles’ concert setlists and remain fan favorites to this day.
Walsh also delivered lead vocals on six Eagles tracks, spanning deeper cuts and audience favorites alike. Even though he did not sing every major chart-topping Eagles hit, his presence shaped the group’s iconic rock identity during one of its most successful eras.
‘So What: A Tribute to Joe Walsh’ honors this legacy with complete dedication. We perform every Eagles track Joe Walsh sang lead on, live with the same passion and energy the Eagles brought to the stage in their prime. Our show bridges his solo achievements with his multi-platinum Eagles era, bringing both chapters to life on stage.

In addition to the chart-toppers, So What pulls from the deeper catalogue of Joe Walsh—offering a rich and varied experience that spans his solo work, The James Gang, Barnstorm, and Eagles era.
Some key highlights from our setlist include:
“Rocky Mountain Way” (1973) — signature talk box guitar, one of Joe’s defining solo moments.
“Funk #49” — From his James Gang era, showcasing the raw power of his early writing and guitar work.
“Life’s Been Good” (1978) — his biggest solo hit, wry commentary on rock-star excess.
“Turn to Stone” (Barnstorm era) — A powerful rock statement from 1972…
“Life in the Fast Lane” – a signature Joe Walsh riff, full band arrangement, and one of The Eagles’ most enduring rock anthems.
“The Confessor” — From his 1985 solo work, this piece combines a slow introspective intro…
“The Bomber” — Originally released by the James Gang on their 1970 album James Gang Rides Again, this track is a standout for Walsh’s bold guitar work and structural ambition. It features multiple movements—most famously the “Closet Queen” section followed by an interpolation of Maurice Ravel’s “Boléro” and a jazz-influenced instrumental section.
“A Life of Illusion” — One of Joe Walsh’s later hits…
“Walk Away” – James Gang era — gritty, memorable and full of edge.
“In The City” – originally Joe Walsh’s song, re-recorded by The Eagles, now a staple for any Walsh / Eagles tribute set.
“All Night Long” — Less frequently heard but very powerful…
And many more deep-cuts, fan-favorites and era-defining tracks…
